Depot 1899 - Wirtshaus Frankfurt

In the southern part of Frankfurt, in the popular area Sachsenhausen, a former train depot was turned into a modern, elegant restaurant by Accente Gastronomie Services a subsidiary of the Frankfurter Messe. Brick walls and and steel screen bars keep the reminiscence of the train depot alive, which was in use from 1899 till 2003. Furthermore light wooden floors, brown leather sofas and massive wooden tables dominate the newly opened location. The spacious arc hallway is generously illuminated by 18 cotton canopied pendum luminaires. These "illuminated wheels" with a diameter of 3 Meters each were manufactured by Baulmann Leuchten, Sundern. This also holds true for the illumination of the pillars, who significantly add to the cosy, warm atmosphere below the balustrade of the historic building.
