Modern forms and cosiness.
The golf club Domat/Ems has invested around six million Swiss Francs (roughly 3.9 million Euro) in its new club house. A modern and unique building has resulted that stands out through its impressive transparency.
The task of interior design architect Karsten Schmidt-Hoensdorf was to counter the cold materials stone and glass with an “emotional warmth”. When so doing he restricted himself to five colours and played with the monochrome brown tones of various woods. The effect is supported by a pendant lamp designed by Schmidt-Hoensdorf that structures the ceiling. This well thought out and versatile lamp bears the name “Light machine” and is produced by Baulmann.
